My wife dropped her phone in water. It was in for just a second. She pulled it out, put it in rice and went to this store location. The store was empty, so they were not busy. As soon as she pulled the phone out, in a bag of rice; the customer service rep immediately cut her off and told her he couldn't touch it. She didn't even get a chance to explain. Every time she tried to speak, he very rudely cut her off and shut her down. Completely unprofessional. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
Unfortunately I cannot rate less than a one. They will tell you what is wrong with your product is common and covered under warranty. They'll say they will send it off and call you in a few days with a replacement. After 3 days they call and say you damaged your phone and you owe an absurd amount of money. Then when you call their BS come to find out your item never was sent to Apple but they checked it "in shop" and found the damage you did to it. Don't take anything here!!
Called the Champaign store 6 days ago and left a message about my son's iPhone 6 touch screen wasnt responding. We did a reset and still nothing. I Left this on a voicemail since they didn't answer the phone. Still no return call and now when I call the number it connects but doesn't ring. I thought it might be the wrong number (even though it worked 6 days ago). So I called the mall and had them transfer me. Same thing, sounded like it connected but no ring. I live 90 miles away so I wanted to know if they could fix it before I wasted a little over 3 hours of driving ( round trip) to find out they cant, but they wont answer. I guess ill have to bite the bullet and drive up there since they are the closest Apple store near me. There are a lot of bad reviews, you would think Apple would do something about the store management and employees. May want to start by answering the phone instead of auto assistant or in my case, dead silence.
I would not recommend this store if you have further options. My computer had a gray screen and cannot display as normal. They charged me about $70 fee for diagnosis but cannot find the exact reason, letting alone fixing it. They then suggested to mail my mac pro to Apple store for repair. This is ridiculous because I can send my mac to Apple directly without being charged for $70! I had no choice at this step but eventually Apple turned down repaired my mac for free and provided a solution for over $600. Of course I turned in down and it turns out that I got my computer back without a clear diagnosis and basically nothing changed. I would give a negative star if possible. Besides the diagnosis fee, they alerted me that my data can be destroyed during the diagnosis and charged me $150 for data recovery and storage! I was too silly and took this option. This is definitely the worst shop I have ever encountered. High pricing but zero help!
Stood in the store for ten min. before anyone even acknowledged I was there. Then they helped someone else that walked in who was picking up a repair. Once I finally got helped they would not work on a product that apple said was eligible for repair.
