I want to say that they have always worked on whatever bike I brought to them and helped me get the right parts and tools when I was doing self upgrades. Much better experience than with the other LBSs in Champaign. When I had lower end bikes, they would tell me if they didn't think that it was worth repairing but would do the work if asked. I think that some of the poor reviewers should just check on line at the component prices before complaining about pricing. As for the labor, as someone that regularly works on their own bike, try to do it yourself. I think you'll find that beyond the simple stuff it's well worth the price.

Best bike shop in C/U. Greg and Drew are the most knowledgeable bike mechanics around.
Very knowledgeable staff , top-of-the-line equipment , answered all my questions been to the other bike stores in Champaign Urbana but none compare to Champaign cycle . Don't waste your time looking around. If you need a new bike or mechanical work done to the one you have this is a place to go I would highly recommend shopping Champaign Cycle

A GREAT PLACE I went there to have gear and brake adjustments made to my TREK Bike that a shop in another town did incorrectly it was raining and i was soaking wet when I got there. the techs were busy but a tech name of Drew stopped working to take the time to look at my bike and fix everything to my desire. it took all of half an hour to 40 minutes. I was shocked at the awesome customer service. and just how nice the shop is inside. seems like they have nearly every accessory you could ever want on the shelf. and they also gave me a towel to dry off the rain when I came in as well as something to drink. so when it came time to pay I reached for my wallet and realized id left it at home. I offered to leave my bike as collateral till I returned with payment and they told me to just come back another time and buy something...which I absolutely will do that. this is a great shop that cares for the customer first and foremost.
