We went in at 2am to get our 6 month old pitbull checked out as he had been vomiting and had diarrhea with a good amount of blood in it. Our first thought was that he got ahold of something and we were afraid he might have some damage that we could not see. As soon as we walked in, the nurse was rude and pushy. Our puppy was not very excited to get on the scale and as I was trying to get him to stand on there, she picked him up by his leash so by his neck and threw him on the scale, not even asking for our help. We went into the exam room and she asked us some questions about him and did a quick exam. We waited about 10 minutes for the vet to come in and she checked the same things that the nurse did. After that she said that there was nothing noticeable and that he is stable. When we asked her what to do, she kept saying that she didn't know. She gave us the option of blood work and x rays or to give him fluids and anti nausea medice. She kept saying she didn't know what to do and she didn't have a crystal ball to know and have us no opinion whatsoever. We decided on the fluids and medication. Instead of giving him the shot and fluids to absorb in the room with us, she insisted on taking him to the back and doing it without us. We could hear him crying from the other room. We paid and left and everything was normal but as soon as we got home, our puppy could barely walk. He was stumbling terribly as if he was drunk and couldn't even get a drink out of his water bowl without me holding him up. When my boyfriend called to ask what was happening, since they didn't explain any side effects to us, all they could say is that they didn't know why that was happening and to bring him back. We are now sitting here at 5 in the morning waiting for our day vet to open so we can make sure he is okay. Moral of the story is, don't EVER take your animal here. It was the worst service and we paid 200 dollars to have no answer for our puppy.
The staff was amazing and sympathetic to our dog's illness. Thanks Dr. Stortzum and Scott! We will be referring you!
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy absolutely garbage none of the vets new what they were doing. We would ask what they thought we should do and all they had to say was I don't know. Do not take any animal here unless you want it to die. It wasn't even worth the drive. Absolutely rude people working. I wouldn't trust these people with anything with a heartbeat...if I could put 0 stars I would...
This place is a joke! I took my 5 1/2 year old husky in because she wasn't her self. When we got there they told me she would have to stay over night so they could do observations. $700 later they said she was acting brand new that night, she wasn't because when i got her into the car she started doing the same thing. I took her to her usual vet later that day because something didn't feel right. I wasn't in the doctors office 5 mins before they said she needs surgery. They had to do emergency surgery on her because he uterus was infected. If I wouldn't of got her in then she would of died. These people could of fixed my baby but instead they charged me a ridiculous amount and would of let her die.
The staff here could not have been nicer and more compassionate in the loss of our fur baby
