8. If you make a simple accounting mistake and have an NSF check, the humans will block you from using your phone to take pictures and deposit your checks (which increases the likely hood that you will have another NSF....but they don't care because they make $30.00 from you even if your account is accidentally overdrawn by a penny....yup we take full credit for that mistake but the mortals will block your account from some services FOR 6 MONTHS), even if you have literally deposited more than X million dollars over 15 years.

1. the person at the front information desk is often rude and dismissive of your financial concerns. Humans are like that. Zombies are probably cooler but then again they tend to want to eat your brains.

3. If I want to make a deposit to my IRA, I have to physically go to the bank every month, tell the human at the desk what I want, wait in line to speak to a different human, go explain what I want to that human rep, fill out paperwork, then the humans will make the deposit. At Ally Bank (the bank we just switched to), I just have to click a button. No humans to worry about.

We will not be going back to the days where humans are needed to do everything. That costs us money to pay their salaries, when that sort of banking is an ancient relic from a past century.

Been banking here all my life!! Besides the drive thru being slow, I love it!!

I really don't understand the negative reviews. I've been banking here for nearly 10 years. I use their checking, credit, and I've had countless loans and haven't had any problems. Highly recommend.

7. You can't deposit cash into the ATMs, so you have to go to at a time when the bank has humans inside to make a cash deposit. Have fun waiting in you car for a while until it's your turn to use those really cool air containers that have been used since the 1970s.

5. You can't link your credit card or debit card to modern apps like Mint Bills because their technology at UIECU is so outdated.

Apparently I need to hire an attorney.

9. They have decent rates on car loans and mortgages, if you feel like meeting with a human and going through the arduous process of filling out all the paperwork; you can easily find better rates from hundreds of banks online. I don't need the hassle of taking time off from work to go meet with a human when I can do it in my PJs at 11:00 pm from my computer at sooooo many other banks.

6. I'm worried about security concerns with such a small bank; they have had issues with fraud (thank goodness none of our money was stolen). I think the victims of fraud got their money bank, so kudos for UIECU for helping in that regard.

4. The bank charges you a monthly fee even when you have a premium account like we had.

Consumer beware. I'm trying to close out my deceased husband's estate. When UICCU learned that there were no funds in the estate to pay the balance on his (his alone) credit card, they decided that they would not release my car title (when I pay it off) until his credit card is paid as well. Including all interest, fees, and penalties. This is NOT legal in the State of Illinois.

2. technology from the 1990s. The App is outdated, clunky, cumbersome, and confusing. The website is old and difficult to use, reminiscent of those from 15 years ago (your email alerts will have one of those little flashing red bullet points that were so common in 2002 but are universally abhorred today).

While i appreciate that we were able to be financed. i didnt realize it was so hard to give these people money if you live in a different state. For 2 hrs ive been given the run around every which way possible and still havent been able to pay my monthly auto loan
